Tinplate-Legends about the origin of Chinese tinplate
In 1801, the Frenchman Nicolas Apert invented the long-term food preservation method, which put the food into glass bottles and heat treatment, so that the food crystals could not be preserved. In 1809, the British Peter Durand used Nicolas Apert’s method to create the first tinplate container, all of which were jars instead of glass bottles. Thus began the development history of food cans, but the tinplate containers used at that time were all welded cans made of solder. Until 1897, the American Max Ams invented the method of sealing with rubber sealant, and the crimp can (that is, the double crimp seal) was born.
